UC Irvine – Studio Art.
What was your first job in hospitality?
At my parent’s frozen yogurt and fresh juice bar in Palm Desert, CA.
What was your last job before Whitfood?
As the Assistant General Manager at Spa Castle Premier 57.
Where did you grow up?
ALL over the map but I was born in Denver, CO. GO BRONCOS!
What’s your favorite childhood memory of food?
Microwaving a hotdog on top of popcorn when I was 5 and believing that I’ve made it and no other culinary achievement could ever top that moment. It has so far proven to be true.
What’s your favorite thing to cook on your days off?
Meat, more precisely Korean/Japanese BBQ or hot pot. I applaud whoever thought a business could be made from providing raw meat to guests and having them pay to cook their own meal.
Where’s the next place you want to travel?
Thailand or Taiwan. Not because they sound similar. More so because of the awesome cheap street food.
If you weren’t working in restaurants, what would you be doing?
Full time managing and directing VIBE Dance Competition so that it could be a possible full time job for my staff members as well.
Fiction or nonfiction?
Fictional nonfiction. Like those movies and books that state “Based on a true story” and then talking monsters appear.
