Where did you go to college/school?
I went to Johnsom & Wales University located in Providence, Rhode Island. Received an assiocates degree in culinary arts and a bachelors of science in culinary arts & food service management.
What was your first job in hospitality?
My first job in the hospitality industry was a hostess at a restarurant called The Reel. It is a summer popular place in my town, right on the bay. My first kitchen position was a line cook at Nordstrom Market Place at the Providence Place Mall. It was a great job to have as a college student and to be my first kitchen poistion. Growing up I never knew about my passion for food or the joy of working in a kitchen. I had my "ahh haa" moment, senior year of high school when I had to decide what my future was going to uphold. I realized that I was always happy, alert and excited about my home education classes. From there on out I knew that this is where I belong.
What was your last job before Whitfood?
I worked at The Boathouse Waterfront locates in Triverton, RI. They are apart of the Newport restuarant group focusing on supporting local farmers, purveyor, paying close attention to service and ambiance. I really enjoyed the people I worked with, unfortantly had to leave because I graduated from school and moved back to long island.
Where did you grow up?
Long Island, Nassua County.
What’s your favorite childhood memory of food?
Dominican food. My mother always cooked for my sister and I.
What’s your favorite thing to cook on your days off?
I actually don't have a specific favorite thing to cook right now on my day off. But I love making pastas and working with proteins (pork, beef, and seafood). I'm ususlly exploring for new interesting restaurants that are on the island.
Where’s the next place you want to travel?
I would love to go to greece, athens and santorini.
If you weren’t working in restaurants, what would you be doing?
I would be at school working on becoming a veterarian

I love milk chocolate but if I had to choose ice cream flavors then vanilla
