What was your first job in hospitality?
I worked at a family friend’s hot dog restaurant the summer in between my freshman and sophomore year of college.
What was your last job before Whitfood?
I worked at a restaurant in Michigan called Reserve Wine & Food.
What is your guilty food pleasure?
Nachos. Always Nachos.
Anything from the allium family. (I may have a chive blossom tattoo on my left forearm.)
Where’s the next place you want to travel?
Champagne and the Loire Valley.
If you weren’t working in restaurants, what would you be doing?
I would still be working with food, but most likely in academia/food policy.
Favorite music or podcast?
I will listen to anything, but prefer things I can sing along to while dancing around/cooking in my kitchen.
What do you prefer: Wine, Beer or Cocktail?
It depends on my mood and the season, I do enjoy all three. But my tried & true favorite will always be a negroni.
What is the most used condiment in your pantry/refrigerator ?
Cholula hot sauce. And butter.
Who is your biggest role model/inspiration?
In the industry, Ellen Marie Bennett, owner of Hedley & Bennett. She is an all around inspiration in terms of owning her own business and being a badass leader, visionary and hustler. (Plus she has a pet pig which is awesome.)
