University of Delaware, Go Blue Hens!
What was your first job in hospitality?
I worked the Front Door and Coat Check at the Capital Grille in the city; a fun and terrifying experience all at the same time.
What was your last job before Whitfood?
Before working for USHG, I was working for Hyatt Hotels in Pittsburgh as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. It was a great experience but helped me realize that I wanted to move out of hotels and into restaurants!
Where did you grow up?
North Caldwell, NJ ( fun fact, also home of the Sopranos house)
What’s your favorite childhood memory of food?
My mom has always been an amazing baker and cook. Before my brother and I were born, she was making her famous Oreo cheesecake for catering events and had her own business! Once we came along, she stopped selling the cakes but every special occasion and holiday, my mom always makes a cheesecake and I love learning the recipe and now making it on my own ( still not as good as hers though!). I also have always loved cooking for the holidays with my mom and grandma.
What’s your favorite thing to cook on your days off?
My fiancé and I love to grill but being in NYC, that is not always possible. When we cook together, our favorite meal to make it tacos, so simple but so delicious!
Where’s the next place you want to travel?
If you weren’t working in restaurants, what would you be doing?
I would be a teacher or a stay at home dog mom. :)
